C.T.A Mortgage Advice Centre Spennymoor Sunday League
Tuesday night at Jubilee Park Spennymoor gave us the chance to welcome two of the new teams to the league as Salvins met Cumby Arms in the second division clash. The game looked to be a lively affair and didn’t disappoint as both teams were up for the challenge from kick off. It was Cumby who looked the sharpest with Tony Callahan going close early on putting wide from the right and Dale Anderson heading over from the resulting corner. Both sides spurned chances but it was Cumby who eventually broke the deadlock with David Teder slotting home from an unselfish pass by Callaghan midway through the half. Second half was much of the same with both sides creating chances but failing to capitalise with both keepers making some good saves. Elsewhere Cumberland held the Legion to a 1-1 draw Jubilee Fc were beaten by local rivals Three Tuns 2-5 and Bay Horse beat King James 3-0
