Eldon edge close win over Moon Division Two & Three round-up
ELDON ARMS just edged a close game with Half Moon in Division Two.
Liam Gillies put Eldon one up before Michael Walker doubled their lead before half-time.
Michael Fearman pulled one back for the Half Moon in the second half, but the home side held out for the three points.
Eldon boss David Leary said: “We maybe should have scored a few more goals, but they’re a decent side and came at us in the second half, we had to defend well and thankfully we did. It was a good game.”
Elsewhere in Division Two, Shildon Athletic won 6-4 at Penny Gill with goals by Peter Duce (2), Stuart Doughty (2), Paul Gargett and Chris Ross, while Browney won 3-0 at home to Hogans with goals by Scott Bryden, Phillip Pouton and John Dixon.
