Cup group stage drawn

THE league has devised a brand new Champions League-style group knockout tournament to spice up two cup competitions.
The Kelvin McIntosh Division Two Cup and the Division Three Cup have both been split into two groups in each division to battle it out for the top two spots for a semi-final place.
And the draw has already thrown up some interesting ties, with Division Three’s Group A providing the Group of Death!
Strong sides Shildon Fox, Fox and Hounds, Castle and Bishop Masons are all in Group A with the Navy Club, while in Group B Aycliffe Village face EBAC, Southerne Club, Masons United and Horndale Celtic.
There’s more of a mixture in the Kelvin McIntosh Division Two Cup groups, which should make the knockout stage even more interesting!
The winners if Groups A will play the runners-up of Groups B, while the winners of Groups B will play RUs in Group A.
