October 12th 2005

League puts its name on balls!
THE Spennymoor Sunday League is giving its members a unique reminder as to exactly which league they are playing in!

They have issued all 28 clubs with a brand new matchball each – with the league crest unmistakably emblazoned across them!
It’s just another in a long line of schemes to either improve the Spennymoor League or to give something back to clubs.

And it’s been met with some enthusiasm by members, with a number of clubs already requesting extra balls from the league.Malcolm Scott and Martin Walker

“They have gone down very well with our clubs,” said League Press Officer Martin Walker, who is pictured presenting a ball to Lakeside Secretary and team-mate Malcolm Scott. “The balls are of a very high standard and are valuable to clubs, while we also decided to use a supplier who was able to print the league crest on to them.

“It means all our clubs are not only getting a brand new, quality matchball each, it also shows unmistakably which league our clubs are in!”
