Belvedere get first win Division Two round-up
BELVEDERE grabbed their first win of the season with a hard-fought victory at home to Eldon Arms.
Timmy Hutchinson gave them a 1-0 half-time lead, and Lee Nixon doubled Belvedere’s lead after the break.
Eldon rallied and pulled a goal back through Scott Hunter, but weren’t able to break Belvedere down for a leveler.
Belvedere boss Karl Thompson admitted: “We played well for once! I was pleased with the lads, and I think we deserved it. We still need to work on our finishing but we defended well and were hard to break down, we made it hard for them. They pushed us towards the end as well, but we stood firm so that was pleasing.”
