LEAGUE POSTPONE FIXTURES
THE Spennymoor Sunday League has postponed all its fixtures this week following the tragic death of Croxdale player Kelvin McIntosh.
The league was shocked and saddened by the news of the 24-year-old's untimely death and, as a mark of respect, have cancelled all matches this weekend.
League Secretary Mike Hill said: "We think of the league as our very own football family of players, officials and referees, and everyone was shocked to hear this tragic news. Out of respect this was the least we could do. The thoughts and sympathies of every single club and referee is now with Kelvin's family."
The league is also asking all teams to observe a minute's silence when the fixture programme resumes on Sunday February 20.

Kelvin's funeral service is due to take place this Friday (February 11) at St Bartholomew's Church in Croxdale, at 10.15am.
