Brancepath pushing Browney
Division Two round-up

NEW BRANCEPATH kept up their pressure on Browney with their sixth win of the season.

Currently second, Brancepath won 8-2 at Half Moon thanks to a Craig Hindmarch hat-trick. Phil Wilkinson also netted twice and there was one apiece by Anthony Holiday, Eddie Watson and Paul Littlewood.

Brancepath Secretary Brian Stewart said: “It was a cracking game, with some good football played by both sides. It was fairly tight but we started to play some really good stuff in the second half. The aim now is just to keep pushing Browney for the title!” Tony Craddock and Robert Allinson scored Half Moon’s goals.

Meanwhile, Victoria won 2-0 at Eldon Arms with goals by Jason Greenland and Michael Simmings.

Browney won 3-2 at Green Tree thanks to goals by Darren Dixon, Robert Barron and Stephen Mudd.

Shildon Athletic won 5-1 at Hogans with goals by Chris Ross (3) and Paul Gargett (2). Paul Welsh scored Hogans’ goal.
