League sends referees packing!
THE league have shown their continued support to their referees for the New Year – by sending them packing!
League officials have gifted every referee with a brand new kit bag, complete with the Spennymoor League crest emblazoned across it!
It follows the league’s decision earlier in the season to gift every club with a brand new, high-quality matchball – they, too, were labelled with a mono print of the league badge.
And they have now rewarded their loyal pool of referees with the brand new kit bags as a thank you for their support.
“We’re continuing to look at all sides of the league,” said Treasurer Gary Livett. “While the growth and quality of the league continues to improve, we are also trying to repay the people that help to make the Spennymoor League one of, if not the best Sunday leagues in the region.
“We hope the superb support of our referees, along with all of our clubs, continues into 2006 as we look to build on what has been an excellent couple of years in our development.”
