Brit bag crucial league win League round-up
NORTH BRITON look to have secured their Division One status with a crucial over Middridge Bay Horse.
Marc De Lucia (2) and Anthony Brockley scored in the 3-2 victory at home to the Horse to jump one place above them in the table. Tony Stebbings scored both goals for the Horse.
Meanwhile, Stephen Richardson and Shaun Longthorne were on target for Thorns as they drew 2-2 with Hunwick Joiners, who had Paul Taylor and Peter Lonsdale on the scoresheet.
In Division Two last week, John Sweeney, Darren Hewitson and Michael Walker were all on target for Eldon Arms as they won 3-1 at home to Shildon Athletic, while Green Tree won 1-0 at home to Penny Gill.
In Division Three, Merrington Fox and Hounds secured their third-place finish with a 3-2 win at Bishop Masons in their last league game of the season, thanks to goals by James Hart (2) and Jonathan Hart. Kenny Melvin and Adam Henderson scored for the Masons.
EBAC won 3-1 at home to Masons United with goals by John Wheatley (2) and Damon Askew. Chris Larkman scored United’s only goal.
