Stubborn Tudhoe hold Hunwick
Jackson Anderson Accountants Spennymoor Sunday League
A STUBBORN Tudhoe United held title-chasing Hunwick Joiners to a draw to hinder their championship hopes.
Christian Schofield put Tudhoe into a one-goal lead before super sub Peter Lonsdale drew Hunwick level.
And Tudhoe’s James Curley said: “It was a good game and I think we matched them. Before the game we would have took the draw, but I think we did enough to take all three points.”
Hunwick’s Aidan McCabe said: “It was an even game but we had the better play towards the end, we just ran out of time. Tudhoe are a hard team to break down, they can play a bit themselves and did very well – they’re a good set of lads as well!”

Old Shildon beat Masons Arms 3-2 with goals by Martin Hedley, Philip Appleby and Darren Place. John Savage and Tom Fothergill scored for the Masons.
Thorns beat Browney 7-3 at home with goals by Anthony Stewart (3), Ian Woodhall (3) and Mark Nicholson. John Dixon, Peter Boucher and John Kidd scored for Browney.
Voltigeur beat Penny Gill 4-2 thanks to goals by Chris Hodgson (3) and Gary Besford. Gary Summerson and Paul Jones scored for the Penny.

The games between Bay Horse and Binchester Social Club and Lakeside and Eldon Arms were postponed.
In Division Two last week, Quinns found some top form to keep track of the Division Two title race with a comfortable win over the Green Tree - see this week's Game of the Week feature.

Elsewhere, Victoria beat the North Briton 4-0 thanks to goals by Adam Cunningham (2), Gary Scott and John Templeton.
George and Dragon won 3-2 at Half Moon with goals by Darren Dodds (2) and Ian Fairless. Ritchie Smith and Paul Bayles scored for Half Moon.
Belvedere won 4-2 at Atlantic Bar with goals by John Paul Greaves (2), Peter Weir and Lee Nixon. Trevor Dixon and Fred Wood scored for Atlantic.
Croxdale won 5-3 at Ash Tree with goals by Andrew Stewart (2), Gavin Bell (2) and Phil Wilkinson. Glyn Porter, Lee Gobin and Ben Dover scored for the Ash Tree.
Half Moon 2, George & Dragon 3
Shildon Athletic and Masons United played out a goalless draw, while the game between the Southerne Club and Horndale Celtic was postponed.
