Have your say with the FA

FA CrestThe Football Association is asking everyone involved in grass roots football to voice their opinions in a massive national consultation.

The FA is developing a new strategy that aims to modernise our national game at grassroots level over the next six years.

Given football is the focal point for over 1.5 million people playing in more than 123,000 teams across the country every week, it’s key to get as many views as possible on the future direction of the game.

Entitled ‘Your Game, Your Say’, the public consultation being undertaken by The FA is the most wide-ranging in the governing body’s 143-year history.

To make your view known, TheFA.com, the home of English football, currently features an online questionnaire targeting youth and adult players, coaches, referees, parents and teachers, as well as those whose involvement has traditionally been more recreational.

“This is a personal invitation to help The FA in its quest to shape the future of football and to challenge our thinking on what The FA needs to do to keep developing the game,” said The FA’s Director of Football Development, Sir Trevor Brooking.

The FA will deliver its new grassroots strategy in spring 2007.
