Hogans enjoying Division Two life Division Two round-up
HOGANS are starting to enjoy life in Division Two as they recorded their third win of the campaign.
The Bishop Auckland side, relegated from the top flight last season, have experienced mixed results in the opening weeks of the season.
But they notched their third victory with a 5-3 win at Half Moon. Mark Bell scored twice, while there was one each from Dean Cummins, Paul Welsh and Paul Walton.
And Hogans boss Shaun Reynolds said: “We took a while to get going in the first half but we played well after half-time and should have scored more goals.
“We’re starting to enjoy it now, I think relegation was probably a good thing as we were losing every week in the first division. We’re getting a few more wins now and that’s good for confidence.” Kris Kavanagh, Marc Birchall and Paul Bayles scored for Half Moon.
Elsewhere, New Brancepeth won 3-0 at home to Shildon Athletic with goals by Phil Wilkinson, Eddie Watson and Clarke Charlton.
Green Tree drew 0-0 at home to Belvedere, while the game between Eldon Arms and Browney was postponed.
