League launch vote for new crest
OFFICIALS will this week poll club secretaries to decide on a new logo for the league.
The 2006-07 season will mark the 20th anniversary for the Jackson Anderson Accountants Spennymoor Sunday League, following its formation in 1986.
And to celebrate, the league committee is planning a number of additional events and celebrations.
As part of this, they are implementing a new league crest – to be used for the one season only – on the club website, in the local press and on most correspondence, just to help mark the 20th anniversary.
To help decide from four choices, the league is asking all clubs to pick their favourite during the next league meeting the Locomotion in Shildon on Wednesday 3rd May from 8pm
All four designs are pictured here – and we’ll announce the winning design as soon as possible.
