Brancepath keep up the pressure Sunday 17th September 2006
Division Two Green Tree 0 New Brancepath 3 Charlton 2, Watson
NEW BRANCEPATH maintained their pressure on Browney at the top of Division Two with a fairly comfortable win at Green Tree.
Eddie Watson gave the visitors a 1-0 half-time lead, while Clark Charlton netted two second-half goals to make it three.
Brancepath’s Shaun Davis said: “We had a lot of chances and maybe should have scored more goals. But we’re playing well – we’ve been playing well, without scoring a load of goals, but hopefully that will come. But it was pleasing to get another good result.”
Elsewhere in Division Two last week, Belvedere won 4-3 at Penny Gill with goals by Lee Nixon (2), Jonathan Millward and Brenden Mullen. Steve Bunning (2) and Aaron Soulsby scored Penny’s goals.
Victoria won 4-2 at home to Half Moon with goals by Adam Cunningham, Gary Scott, Michael Lows and Michael Simmons. Paul Moses got both goals for Half Moon.
